Ben McAdams led the fight to expand Medicaid in Utah and safeguard patient protection in the Affordable Care Act. Thanks to McAdams’ leadership, more than 50,000 Utah kids finally got health care coverage. And in Congress, Ben successfully beat back efforts to gut ACA protections for patients with pre-existing conditions.

In Congress, Ben McAdams secured permanent funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund and billions to repair our national parks. He took on Facebook and blocked the West Jordan data center. He will fight hyperscale data center projects that jeopardize our water resources and hurt our quality of life.  

Ben McAdams doesn't just talk about building more affordable housing—he's actually helped cities and counties across the country find the funding they need to construct more homes. In Congress, McAdams will use this expertise to increase the nation's housing stock and start to bring rent and home prices down.

Ben McAdams “Pay for Success” initiative ensured at-risk kids in Salt Lake County could take part in an innovative early childhood education program. And Ben pushed a big Wall Street bank to fund it.

Ben McAdams knows the cost of everything—gas, groceries, rent and health care—is just too high. And wages aren't keeping pace. He'll push to put a lid on prescription drug prices and restore federal support for the health insurance marketplace to make those plans affordable for working people again.

Ben McAdams has long been a leader in the fight to protect Utah consumers from financial fraud and scams. Ben passed laws to protect Utahns from mortgage fraud, punish fraudulent Medicaid billing, and stop vulnerable seniors and people with disabilities from being cheated. In Congress, we can count on McAdams to support tough new measures to crack down on cyber crime and online financial scams.
